You gathered everything you needed to cast your Circle, made the necessary herbal blends, checked day of week, planetary alignments, colors, candles, stones and anything else you needed to do the spell. You did the work, but it seems like your desires were not met! Perhaps you need a bit of Magickal Empowerment to make things really happen. Have you ever heard of Magickal Empowerment? Did you ever wonder about it? Who has it?  What is it and what does it do?  When can you use it?  Where does it come from?  Why do you need it?  How do you get it?  The answers to these questions are within the knowledge and understanding of The Witches’ Creed.  Come, let us seek together to solve some of the Mystery “If that which you seek you do not find within yourself, you will never find it without.”  (from The Charge of the Goddess, by Doreen Valiente)

Voudoun, Umbanda, and Building Community

with Charles Butler

The African diaspora traditions are built on the family model, you don't enter into them with the intent of being a "Drop in" . It's a long-term commitment being adopted into a tribe. Over time the tribe acquires traditions, and in Haiti, Cuba, Brazil, or Trinidad they may purchase land together into a compound where they live communally. The U.S. does not have quite the same traditions but the respect within the traditions is the same. A Papa and a Mambo are head of household and their godchildren are theirs forever, no matter where they may roam. Come and talk about building family.

Women are intrinsically in connection with the magickal, mysterious moon- sharing on high the vibrational energy patterns of the lunar cycle. Women’s moon mysteries are the foundation of the beginnings of spirituality and ceremonial practice, and when we as women become in tune with the moon, we can use this awareness and wisdom in our experiences of both our inner and outer worlds. This workshop will discuss these mysteries and this connection within the contexts of our bleeding cycles, our life stages, and our individual energy patterns as well as application of this awareness in intent and energy work.
