Mama Gina feels most at home when she can feel the earth beneath her feet and taste the freedom of the open sky. She is a Pagan Bard, a singer/songwriter, fearless storyteller, and wanderlust. With down-to-earth, bluesy vocals, a bit of humor, and straight-ahead, rhythmic, acoustic guitar, djembe and frame drum, she tells the true stories that fall into her head and heart. She sings of life, death and rebirth. She sings of holding on and letting go. She speaks to the Gods and Goddesses and they speak back. She sings their stories as they become her own. She sings of her spiritual connection to the natural world, and of our responsibility to nurture both the mundane and the magical. When she is not performing, you just might find her camping in the woods seeking inspiration from the earth beneath her feet and that vast, open sky.

Matt Buchanan is an emerging acoustic artist with music that is a mix of folk, folk-rock, alternative, and blues mixed with a hip groove. He began singing at a young age, later performing in high school bands as a vocalist, and at 15 years old had already performed alongside professionals at the "Rock For Light" festival on the Washington Monument in D.C.. At the age of twenty he took up the electric guitar, but later pawned his electric rig for a simple acoustic guitar after being exposed to folk music. A lifelong love for nature and all things natural would help serve to solidify his love for the sounds emerging from the wood, later confessing that, "He was hooked". His influences include Bob Dylan, John Prine, Aztec Two Step, Pink Floyd, and Neil Young. (As well as a host of others too long to list)
In 2005 he began writing music for his debut release "Spaceship Ride". A crisis in his personal life forced him to put music aside, and this CD was never formally released or promoted. The cuts on the Cd range from a rock, groove and a Pink Floydish vibe, right down to some earthy folk, and even some pretty nifty world percussion. (Djembe, Dumbek etc.) In fact, he played every part on the whole disc! Buchanan was also awarded "Honorable Mention" in the 2006 Round Two We Are Listening Singer/Songwriter Awards, as well as Top Five in the February 2007 Songwriter Universe Song of the month contest for his tune "Small Town City" from the disc. The concluding track "Never Stop Dreaming" was also featured on Belgium's Goldenflash Radio on the program "Somewhere Between" hosted by Ray Pieters, a show highlighting Americana and roots music. Brian Campbell of Baltimore Online wrote "This record is a folkies dream". Recently Matt's title track to his debut disc was blasted all over Scotland on Captain Sib's "Psychedelic Freakout # 67" , a podcast from his ancestral homeland.
After a five year hiatus, Currently Matt is writing and recording new material for a fresh round in 2014. Concerning The newer material he is quoted as saying " It is much more developed and mature as far as songwriting is concerned, and sure to upset a few apple carts due to the controversial nature of some of the work." Look out because the next "Close Encounter" with this artist will be sure to abduct you with out of this world style, and life changing songs and lyrics!
