We've all heard of animal spirit guides. However, did you know there are also plant spirit guides? Join our discussion as we connect with the spirits connected with each plant. Whether you are growing them, cooking with them, doing magic with them (and, what isn't magic, really?), we will talk about the spiritual attributes of common plants. We'll also go on a guided journey to connect with your plant spirit guides.
Some live plants will be available to connect with as well as some pre-made herbal teas to also aid in connecting with your plant spirit guide (by drinking a tea containing the herbs which are safe to ingest.

In this discussion based workshop I will share many key things that I have discovered in the past few years that have incredibly helped me. Pulling elements from writers, artists, bodyworkers, and my own experience, I’ve created a core list of ideas to share so that any who need can expand their repertoire of self-care techniques. Introduction to Animal Spirit Guides

with RedWolf

In many Pagan traditions, animals provide an important and powerful connection to nature and spirit. Many kinds of animals have long been associated with various spiritual attributes; in many shamanic based paths, these attributes are described as that animal's "medicine" - those properties or lessons that the animal teaches us.

In this class we will discuss basic spiritual characteristics or properties of some of the more common mammals, birds, and insects, as well as the concepts of animal spirit guides, animal teachers, and animal totems. We will also cover basic forms of meditation and journey work, and will end the class with a short guided journey that is designed to help you find one of your animal teachers.

End of Life Planning: Preparing for the Final Life Passage for Ourselves and Loved Ones

with David Ewing

Many of us have been involved in the various live passages for ourselves and others (Wiccanings, Womanhood, Manhood, Handfastings) but most of us have had little exposure or are little prepared for our final life passage when we leave this world.
As the seasons move toward the dark time of the year, it is an appropriate time to discuss how we prepare for the final life passage.
Our discussion will be in a few phases. First, we will discuss those necessary documents we should all have on file to ensure our wishes are carried through by our loved ones. Information will also be provided on where to obtain the necessary documents and where they should be kept. Next, we’ll cover options for the disposition of your remains – do you want to be buried, cremated, composted or something else? We will also discuss the options opening up in the “Green Burial” movement.

Jealousy, Envy & Compersion in "Open" Relationships

with Alan

Within the Poly community, Jealousy is often called “The Green Eyed Monster” What causes jealousy, how can you manage this negative emotion and what can you learn from it? How does Jealousy relate to its’ evil sister emotions, envy & insecurity? On the opposite side of the coin we have “Compersion,” the feeling of happiness we feel for our partner (and their other partner) because you are happy for them and the positive they gain from their relationship. How do you get to compersion. What helps us find it and what stands in it’s way. Join us for a lively discussion and take home a really useful handout to help you navigate these difficult emotions.

Reiki Practical

We will chat briefly about Reiki and some of the more common hand positions then put our skills to practice. Depending on the size of the group we will split into groups to receive and send energy then switch.  We may also sit in circle and pass throughout the group. Afterwards we will discuss the experience.
